Both options give you a walk-in shower. The difference is in the floor build-up, the waterproofing and the budget.
The case for a wet room
A wet room has a level-access floor with a built-in fall to a drain, and the whole room is tanked. It is the best solution for accessible bathrooms, small awkward spaces and a genuinely high-end finish.
The case for an enclosure
A low-profile tray with a glass enclosure costs less, installs faster and contains water in one place. For a family bathroom that also needs a bath, it is usually the more practical choice.
Our recommendation
If it is your only bathroom, keep a bath and use an enclosure. If it is an en-suite or a mobility upgrade, go wet room and do the tanking properly — details on our bathrooms page.
We install both across Glasgow, Newmains and the surrounding towns.
