Terms and Conditions

KITCHEN & BATHROOM REMODELING LIMITED — the terms that apply to all our kitchen and bathroom renovation, refurbishment and installation services.

1. Definitions

  • "Company", "we", "us" or "our" means KITCHEN & BATHROOM REMODELING LIMITED.
  • "Customer", "you" or "your" means the person or organization purchasing the Company's goods or services.
  • "Services" means kitchen and bathroom design, renovation, refurbishment, installation, fitting, joinery, tiling, plumbing, electrical and other related property improvement services.
  • "Products" means kitchens, bathrooms, fixtures, fittings, appliances, materials and other goods supplied as part of the project.

2. Acceptance of Terms

  • By accepting a quotation, placing an order, paying a deposit or allowing work to commence, the Customer agrees to these Terms and Conditions.

3. Quotations

  • Quotations are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.
  • Quotations are based on the information and conditions visible at the time of assessment.
  • The final price may change where unforeseen problems or additional work are identified.
  • Any significant additional work will be discussed with the Customer before being undertaken where reasonably possible.
  • Changes requested by the Customer after the quotation has been accepted may result in additional charges.

4. Payment

  • A deposit may be required before work commences or materials are ordered.
  • The remaining balance is payable upon completion or according to the payment schedule agreed with the Customer.
  • The Company reserves the right to suspend work where agreed payments are overdue.
  • Any agreed payment schedule should be confirmed in writing.

5. Project Timescales

  • Estimated start and completion dates will be provided where possible.
  • Timescales may be affected by material availability, supplier delays, unforeseen site conditions, weather or other circumstances outside the Company's reasonable control.
  • The Company will make reasonable efforts to keep the Customer informed of significant delays.

6. Customer Responsibilities

  • The Customer is responsible for:
  • Providing accurate information about the property and required works.
  • Providing reasonable access to the property.
  • Ensuring the working area is accessible and reasonably clear.
  • Informing the Company of known structural, plumbing, electrical or other defects.
  • Obtaining any permissions or approvals that are the Customer's responsibility.

7. Existing Property Conditions

  • During refurbishment work, previously hidden problems may become apparent, including:
  • Damp or water damage
  • Structural problems
  • Defective plumbing
  • Electrical problems
  • Uneven floors or walls
  • Previous poor workmanship
  • Where such issues require additional work, the Company will discuss the issue and any additional costs with the Customer before proceeding where reasonably possible.

8. Materials and Products

  • Materials will be selected according to the agreed specification.
  • Where a particular product has been selected by the Customer, the Customer should ensure that the specifications, color, style and size are correct before the order is confirmed.
  • Natural materials may contain variations in color, texture, pattern or finish.
  • Suitable alternative products may be proposed where the original product is unavailable, subject to customer agreement where appropriate.

9. Installation

  • The Company will carry out installation and refurbishment works with reasonable skill and care.
  • The Customer must provide suitable access and notify the Company of any restrictions that could affect the work.

10. Changes to the Project

  • Any requested changes to the agreed design, materials or scope of works should be confirmed before the additional work is undertaken.
  • Changes may result in:
  • Additional costs
  • Additional materials
  • Changes to the estimated completion date

11. Cancellation

  • Customers should provide reasonable notice if they wish to cancel or postpone work.
  • Where materials have already been ordered or work has commenced, the Customer may be responsible for reasonable costs already incurred, subject to applicable consumer rights.

12. Damage and Care

  • The Customer is responsible for following any care, maintenance or operating instructions provided for installed products and equipment.
  • The Company is not responsible for damage resulting from misuse, accidental damage, unauthorized alterations or failure to follow the instructions provided.

13. Liability

  • The Company will carry out its services with reasonable skill and care.
  • Nothing in these Terms is intended to remove or restrict any legal rights or protections that cannot lawfully be excluded.
  • The Company will not be responsible for losses that are beyond its reasonable control, subject to applicable law.

14. Complaints

  • Any complaints should be raised with the Company as soon as reasonably possible.
  • Complaints will be handled in accordance with the Company's Complaints Procedure.
