Every kitchen we design starts with the working triangle — sink, hob and fridge — and the room's real traffic routes.
Galley and L-shape
Galley kitchens are the most efficient use of a narrow room and the cheapest to fit. L-shapes suit square rooms and leave space for a small table, which is why they are the most common layout in our Lanarkshire projects.
Islands and peninsulas
An island needs about 1000mm of clearance on every side to work properly. Below roughly 3.5m of room width, a peninsula gives you the same prep and seating benefit without blocking the space.
Going open-plan
Removing a wall transforms a house but needs structural calculations and often building warrant approval. We handle the coordination — see the kitchens page for the full process and our FAQ for warrant questions.
