Check accreditation and insurance
Look for Federation of Master Builders membership, public liability insurance and Gas Safe or SELECT registered trades where relevant. Ask to see the documents, not just the logos.
Compare like-for-like quotes
Three quotes are only useful if they cover the same specification. Ask each fitter to price the same units, worktop material, tiles and electrical work, and to state what is excluded.
Guarantees and aftercare
A workmanship guarantee in writing matters more than any showroom. Ask how snagging is handled and how quickly they return.
